What is astrocartography?

It maps your birth chart onto the world. Every planet's position at your birth becomes a line across the globe, and each line activates a different part of your life where it lands.

Do I need my exact birth time?

An estimate works. Without a time we use noon — your Sun, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn lines stay accurate. Only the Moon shifts noticeably.

Is it free?

Your five cities are always free. Premium adds timing windows, full location readings and the live map.

Your Natal House Chart

A natal house chart divides your birth chart into twelve houses — twelve areas of life, from identity and money to relationships, career, and the subconscious. Where each planet falls reveals where its energy plays out in your day-to-day reality. Enter your birth details and Cosmic Navigator calculates your house cusps, planetary placements, and personalized interpretations in seconds — free.

Unlike your astrocartography map, which shows where on Earth your planets are strongest, your house chart shows which areas of life each planet shapes — no matter where you live. You can also relocate the chart to any city to see how the houses shift when you move.

What are the phases of the Moon?

The Moon cycles through eight phases roughly every 29.5 days: New Moon, Waxing Crescent, First Quarter, Waxing Gibbous, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous, Last Quarter and Waning Crescent. Waxing phases build toward full light and suit starting things; waning phases release toward the dark and suit finishing and resting.

What does a Full Moon mean in astrology?

A Full Moon is the peak of the lunar cycle: the Sun and Moon sit opposite each other, so whatever was seeded at the New Moon becomes visible. Astrologically it marks culmination and release — and the natal house it falls in shows which area of your life is being lit up.

What We Collect

Cosmic Navigator collects your birth date, birth time, and birth location to generate your astrocartography chart. If you create an account, we also store your email address and display name.

How Data Is Stored

By default, your birth data is saved only in your browser's local storage — it never leaves your device. If you sign in, your birth data syncs to Firebase (Google Cloud) so you can access it across devices. We do not sell, share, or rent your personal data to third parties, with one exception — see "AI Readings" below.

AI Readings

If you use the Personal Astrology feature, your chart placements (planetary positions, houses, and derived aspects — not your name or exact birth address) are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (maker of Claude), to generate readings and answer your questions. This only happens when you choose to generate a reading or use the chat; it does not apply to any other part of the app. Per Anthropic's API terms, this data is not used to train their models. Your generated readings and chat history are stored in your account (Firebase) so you can revisit them.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the app is used. Analytics are opt-in: you choose whether to accept or decline when first visiting. No personally identifiable information (name, email, birth data) is ever sent to analytics. We track anonymous usage patterns like page views and feature usage.

Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your credit card number or bank details. Stripe handles all payment information under their PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure.

Your Rights

You can delete your local data at any time by clearing your browser storage. If you have an account, contact us at support@cosmicmap.app to request full deletion of your data from our servers. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Service Description

Cosmic Navigator is a web-based astrocartography tool that generates personalized planetary line maps and location recommendations based on your birth data. The service is provided for entertainment and self-exploration purposes.

Accounts

You may use Cosmic Navigator without an account. Creating an account allows you to sync data across devices and access subscription features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the next billing date. Prices are in USD and may be updated with 30 days notice.

Disclaimer

Astrocartography readings and recommendations are for entertainment and personal reflection only. They do not constitute professional advice — financial, medical, legal, or otherwise. You should not make major life decisions based solely on astrological interpretations.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code on Cosmic Navigator are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the service without written permission. Your birth data and generated charts remain yours.

Limitation of Liability

Cosmic Navigator is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including decisions made based on astrological content. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.

Cancellation Policy

How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Account page. Click "Manage Subscription" to open the Stripe customer portal, where you can cancel in 2 clicks. No questions asked, no hoops to jump through.

When You Cancel

When you cancel, your subscription simply does not renew. You keep full premium access until the end of the period you already paid for, then your account reverts to the free plan.

After Payment

If you cancel after being charged, your premium access continues until the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again. We do not offer partial refunds for unused time within a billing period.
